BERNARDS TWP., NJ - The Bernards Board of Education meeting for July includes a number of resignations on the agenda for Monday, July 23, including the departure of Brian Heineman, the school district's director of curriculum and instruction. The board is also set to appoint nine new teachers for the upcoming school year.
Heineman had previously been technology and computer coordinator in Bernards Township's schools.
The agenda for the meeting, set to begin at 7 p.m. at the conference room at the Board of Education offices at 101 Peachtree Road, is posted on the school website.
Other resignations on the agenda effective for the 2018-19 school year include that of Maria Mensinger, supervisor of special education; Kimberly Ace, art teacher at the Cedar Hill Elementary School; and Lauren Calvosa, special education teacher at the William Annin Middle School, and others.
The resignation of Julia Hamill, school psychologist for the William Annin Middle School, is dated for the 2017-18 school year.
The names of the teachers to be hired and additional child care leave appointments are also on the agenda.
The board also is scheduled to certify the number of Ridge High School graduates for the Class of 2018, and to accept a number of donations from school Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs).
