Ridge Football to Kick Off Season With "Black Out" Game Against Montgomery

BERNARDS TWP., NJ - The Ridge High School Red Devils football will kick off the season with a 7 p.m. home game against Montgomery High School on "Black Out Night," on Friday, Sept. 9.

Friday's scheduled game on Ridge's Lee Field - at the end of the first week of school - is the first of nine regularly scheduled varsity football games for the upcoming season.

The season schedule for varsity, junior varsity, sophomore and freshmen football games are listed on the Ridge Red Devils football website.

Black Out shirts to be sold at Ridge

Black Out shirts will be sold at Ridge High School earlier during the week, during lunch on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 8 and 9, according to the Bernards Township school district Friday Folder.

Black Out shirts will be sold for $10. 

Lee Field is behind the high school at 268 S. Finley Ave. in Basking Ridge.

Head Coach Bill Tracy returns for his eighth year as the head coach. During Tracy's seven seasons at Ridge, the program has won three conference championships: in 2009, 2012, and 2013; and has been state ranked in each of those three seasons. The 2015 Red Devils joined those three teams as state playoff qualifiers, and along with the 2009 and 2013 teams, advanced to the state sectional semifinals.
