BASKING RIDGE, NJ -- The Ridge girls basketball team has been seeded fifth for the Somerset County Tournament, which begins this week.

The Red Devils will have a bye into the round of 16, and will host the winner of a preliminary game between Immaculata and Pingry on Saturday. If Ridge advances there, the next game would be a quarterfinal round matchup against fourth-seeded Gill-St. Bernard's, which received a double bye.

Rutgers Prep has been awarded the top seed. Franklin is second. Watchung Hills is third. Ridge has lost two games to Rutgers Prep and one to Franklin. The Red Devils have not faced Watchung Hills this season.

The semifinals are scheduled for Feb. 27, and the championship game will be at Montgomery High School on Saturday, Feb. 29.
