BASKING RIDGE, NJ - Three seniors from the Ridge girls soccer team that reached the Group 4 state championship game for the second year in a row signed National Letters of Intent Wednesday to attend Division 1 universities.

Julia Lindsey is headed to Colgate, Olivia Melnyk will attend Loyola of Maryland and Ally Friedman will continue her soccer career while studying at Lehigh University.

Lindsey, who scored six goals, led Ridge with eight assists as a senior, after sharing the team lead in goals scored as a junior. Melnyk netted five goals in 2016. And Friedman, whose offensive contribution during the state tournament was notable, was the glue to a staunch Ridge back line that helped the team record five shutouts in the post-season.
