BASKING RIDGE, NJ - The Ridge High School hockey team remained unbeaten after a 5-3 victory on Saturday over Bridgewater-Raritan at Bridgewater Sports Arena.

Ridge (2-0-1) scored four goals in the second period to open a 5-1 lead. Vanny Charleston scored two goals, Wes Hobson had a goal and an assist and Mac Hobson and Alex Konovalov also scored a goal apiece for the Red Devils.

The night before, Rich McKenna supplied the only goal with an assist from Marc DelGaizo as Ridge skated to a 1-1 tie with Watchung Hills in Dunellen.

Ridge opened its season last Wednesday with a 9-2 rout of Montgomery that featured a six-goal explosion in the opening period. Vanny Charleston netted three goals and had an assist in the victory.
