BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Ridge High School has been named among the top schools in New Jersey by a national publication.

Ridge placed No. 12 on U.S. News & World Report’s list of “Best High Schools” in New Jersey.  

Excluding private schools and vocational technical schools, Ridge is rated as the No. 6 public school in the state.

Schools are ranked based on their performance on state-required tests and how well they prepare students for college, according to the publication, which published its list Wednesday.

The data cites 97 percent of Ridge students who took the AP test passing it. Ridge scored a 65.4 on U.S. News & World Report's College Readiness Index. The school has a 97 percent graduation rate.
