Ridge Ice Hockey Team Splits Two Games This Week


SOMERSET, NJ - The Ridge ice hockey team split two games this week in the Protec Ponds Tournament.

The Red Devils defeated Bridgewater-Raritan, 2-1, on Tuesday before falling, 7-0, to Pope John of Sparta on Wednesday.

Dan Knightly and John Vilade each scored goals for Ridge (7-2-1) in Tuesday's victory. Assists came from Ted Kapp and Alex Konovalov, as Ridge netted goals in each of the first two periods. Vilade is second on the team in goals scored with seven.

The Red Devils are off until Friday, Jan. 6, when they play Watchung Hills at Bridgewater Sports Arena at 8 p.m.
