SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - The Ridge softball team swept two games in a high school doubleheader at Union Catholic on Saturday.

In the first game, Ridge defeated Linden, 10-5. Winning pitcher Morgan Derrick went 2-for-3 with a triple and the Red Devils scored three runs in the sixth inning to open a 10-4 lead.

In the second game, Ridge (4-4) romped, 17-8, over Elizabeth. Kristin Miscia slugged two home runs to power the Ridge offense and complete the sweep.

It was Ridge's third victory in a row. On Friday, Ridge romped, 16-3, over Franklin. Jordan Richman collected three hits, including two doubles, and Amanda Lew joined Miscia and Derrick with two hits apiece in the victory.
