Ridge Varsity Baseball Shuts Out Hillsborough; JV, Freshman Also Win

BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Ridge varsity baseball team shut out Hillsborough, 3-0, on Wednesday afternoon. But the two other Ridge Red Devils baseball teams - JV and freshman - also beat Hillsborough for another trifecta.

The JV team won, 9-6.  The freshmen won by a score of 6-4 in that team's Wednesday game.

Ridge varsity pitcher Ian Solomon (pictured) sealed the victory by pitching the entire game with a total of 98 pitches. The Ridge varsity team's record now improves to 11-6-1.

The day before, on Tuesday, all three Ridge baseball teams also scored wins in games against Phillipsburg. 

Upcoming games

Ridge will face Morristown on Thursday at home, and the following day, on Friday, May 8, will play Randolph at an away game.  Ridge will end their regular season next week and will begin the first round of the state tournament. Games are at 4 p.m., according to the Ridge Red Devils Baseball webpage.
