Ridge Varsity Boys Baseball Wins Big Over Franklin

BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Ridge Varsity baseball team decisively beat Franklin Township 11-1 on Friday, April 17, upping the team's season record to 5-1-1.

Franklin was scoreless for the first 4 innings. Ridge's opponent, Franklin, scored that team's only run in the fifth inning. Ridge Varsity Team catcher Ryan Pavlik (pictured) was among those players who contributed to the win.

"It was a great team win," said Ridge Head Baseball Coach Tom Blackwell. "The starters played great, and the subs played better."

Ridge to play Governor Livingston's team on Saturday afternoon

Ridge next will play Governor Livingston High School away at 2 p.m. this Saturday. That high school is at 175 Watchung Blvd. in Berkeley Heights.

The Red Devils' next home game is on Monday, April 20, at 3:45 p.m. against nearby Watchung Hills Regional High School's team.
