BASKING RIDGE, NJ - Ridge girls volleyball, after a successful run to the semi-finals at the Northern Valley Invitational on Saturday, beat Skyland Conference foe Hunterdon Central, 25-19, 25-22 on Monday.
Coach Joanne Milot continues to rely on the super sophomore tandem of Kristen Hodges (7 Kills, 1 dig) and Lauren Metzner (1 kill, 5 digs) to fill the void while Chelsea Winegar is still nursing a hand injury. Peyton Robb continues her splendid play with 9 kills and 5 digs, while Rachel Tam patrolled the back row with 10 digs. Isabela Garcia continued her all-around play with 2 blocks and 5 kills, Jasmine Davy had 5 digs and Angela Huang contributed five key digs when Ridge came back from 19-15 down in the second set.
Dana Collins had her best all around match so far, contributing 1 kill, 7 digs to go along with a game high 24 assists.
Ridge will next face Hillsborough at home on Thursday, and then go on the road to face 2017 Somerset County finalist Mount St. Mary's on Friday.
