BERNARDS TWP., NJ - Two township road projects are scheduled to continue on Thursday, Aug. 10, with the work expected to close one local road and require extra caution while driving on the other, according to information from Bernards Township.
Canterbury Way is scheduled to be closed for paving from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday. Paving will begin at Mount Airy Road and proceed toward Mine Brook Road, the township said.
All on-street parking is prohibited. The road will be closed and access restricted.
A tar-like coating will be applied before paving Canterbury Way, and this can damage vehicles, according to the township.
Residents are asked to make alternate parking arrangements and avoid driving on the street. All restoration will be completed after paving, the township said.
Gerard Ave. improvements
Construction of curb and sidewalk, including driveway aprons, is scheduled to continue from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Gerard Avenue on Thursday. Work is due to continue on the east side (odd house numbers), the township said.
Access will be affected at driveways with white paint marks on the sidewalk and/or street, and thosse residents are asked to make alternate parking arrangements. Additional notices will follow.
Drivers should exercise caution while traveling through the Gerard Avenue area, the township said.
