BERNARDS TWP., NJ - No road closures or driveway access restrictions are planned with construction due to continue on Monday, Aug. 6. on the Hansom Road and Watchung Drive Road improvements project. Crews will be working on construction of new granite block curb and sidewalk on Hansom Road, according to the township.
The later part of construction will be milling and paving, at which time there could be detours and some road closures, according to the township. Township officials said before the project began that the goal is to finish work on Hansom Road and Watchung Drive before school reopens in September and students return to Mount Prospect Elementary School at 11 Hansom Road.
Work also is due to continue on Monday on storm sewer repairs on Marilyn Street. On-street parking is prohibited in the work area. Access to driveways may be restricted during working hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for residents of No. 8 and No. 14 Marilyn St., the township said. Residents are asked to make alternate parking arrangements on a different section of Marilyn Street.
Restoration of previous construction areas on Dryden Road are due to take place on Monday. No driveway access will be restricted.
Motorists are asked use caution while driving through all work areas.
