BEDMINSTER, NJ-  On Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 7pm at Bedminster Town Hall, there will be an informational meeting for the proposed “Property Tax Rewards Program.” This special presentation is exclusively for all Bedminster Merchants, Shop Owners and Small Businesses.  

“There are studies that show a 4.6% average increase sales when you have a rewards program plus other studies have shown a 14.5% average increase in customer retention when using a Rewards program. We are not the first municipality in New Jersey to introduce this type of programs, Marlboro, Hillsborough and Bridgewater have launched their own program in the past 5 years. Bedminster simply want to provide a high aware for local businesses. " -Bedminster Township Committeemen Bernie Pane shared with TAP.

By participating in the PTRP, a merchant provides their customer with rebates in the form of property tax credits eveytime they use the SHOP BEDMINSTER Rewards Card to pay for goods and services at the point of sale.

Every week the third party administrator, Fincredit will debit a designated bank account to collect all the weekly tax rebates. About 75% of the rebate will be depositied in a dedicated account and ultimately remitted to the Township for the benefit of the customer's proptery tax bill or  a credit of some sort.
