Snow Won't Stop Dog Walks at Lord Stirling in Basking Ridge

BERNARDS TWP., NJ - Despite this week's past heavy snow, Saturday Dog Walks on the trails at Lord Stirling Park at the Somerset County Park Commission's Lord Stirling Stable in Basking Ridge continue weekly on the fall and winter schedule. 

Check-in time for owners and their pets will begin every Saturday at 10:15 a.m. The guided trail walk will commence at 10:30 a.m. and last for approximately one hour.  

The weekly walk - a unique chance for those on foot to walk the beautiful trails on the property - are hosted by Friends of Lord Stirling Stable at the stable grounds at 256 S. Maple Ave. in Basking Ridge.

Cost is $3 per dog
 
Registration is $3 per dog, and all pets must be leashed and kept under control at all times. These sanctioned Dog Walks offer participants the only opportunity to explore the beautiful equestrian trails of Lord Stirling Stable on foot, according to the park commission.
