BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ The tradition of naming Teachers of the Year at the end of the school year is scheduled to take place at Monday's scheduled Board of Education "virtual meeting," even if the teachers won't be able to accept their awards in person.

In previous years, the teachers receiving the award were usually on hand to receive plaques, and to be lauded and introduced by the principals of their respective school buildings.

However, since March, education has moved online in township schools, and so the 2019-20 Teachers of the Year will also be lauded remotely, according to the Board of Education agenda posted online.
