The Basking Ridge Business Alliance To Host Ring in the Season: A Winter Market and Tree Lighting

Credits: Claudia Mott

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. - The Basking Ridge Business Alliance will host Ring in the Season: a winter market and tree lighting event to take place on  December 6 from 2-8 p.m. in Basking Ridge.

The Basking Ridge Business Alliance (BRBA) was formed in May of this year.  The group’s focus is to help businesses and the community work together, to nurture positive growth and interaction and to preserve those unique qualities that make Basking Ridge a very special place in which to live and work.

Ring in the Season is our first community-oriented event and is being run in conjunction with Bishop Janes Church.  During the late afternoon and evening of December 6th, South Finley sidewalks, from Galloway & Crane to the Presbyterian Church, will be lit with battery operated luminaries and shoppers will have the opportunity to visit our downtown retail shops as well an array of craft and home based business vendors located within the corridors of Bishop Janes Church.

Shoppers will be able to purchase freshly cut Christmas trees, decorate homemade wreaths, children can make a craft or purchase small gifts and have them wrapped, Santa will be available to hear about this year’s wish-list and the Select Choir from William Annin Middle School will serenade us on the green … all culminating at 6:00 with the official lighting of the tree and the ringing of bells.
