SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Whitehouse Wind Symphony, under the direction of Branchburg resident James P. Sheeley, Jr., will perform a free springtime concert on Sunday, April 30th at 3 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 158 W. High St.

The concert, entitled “Dancing on Air”, will include many exciting selections based on different forms of dance, such as “Suite of Old American Dances” by Robert Russell Bennett, “Albanian Dance” by Shelley Hanson, “Farandole” from  L'Arlésienne by Georges Bizet and excerpts from the ballet “Appalachian Spring” by Aaron Copland.

This concert is open to the general public; although a good-will offering will be taken to benefit the band, a non-profit group comprised entirely of volunteer musicians. Although this is an indoor concert, in the event of severe inclement weather, the announcement to cancel the concert will be made on the band’s website - whitehousewindsymphony.org and Facebook page - facebook.com/whitehousewind.
