Junior Summer Workshops To Be Held at Lord Stirling Stables

Weekly Junior Workshops will be held at Lord Stirling Stable in Basking Ridge, N.J. beginning Monday, June 25, 2018. Credits: Courtesy of Somerset County Park Commission

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. — Somerset County Park Commission Lord Stirling Stable has announced the dates for the Junior Summer Workshops, which are themed five-day programs focusing on riding and horse care. The Stable is located at 256 South Maple Avenue in Basking Ridge.

Junior riders may enroll in Summer Workshops beginning Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 8:00 A.M.

The hands-on, themed weekly workshops will begin on Monday, June 25, with the last workshop beginning on Monday, Aug. 20, 2018. Programs will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday on most weeks. Topics include trail, advanced grooming, jumping and gymnastics, etc.

Registration will be available up to the opening day of the Workshops as space permits. Fee for weekly sessions is $300 for Somerset County residents and $450 for non-residents for either Workshop. A discounted rate for a second family member is $250 for residents and $387.50 for non-residents.
