Raritan Valley Habitat Youth Rainbow Run

Raritan Valley Habitat Youth, a group of civic-minded local high school students, are hosting the 2nd Annual Rainbow Run 5K April 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at White Oak Park, in Branchburg.

The Rainbow Run is a 5K walk or run through non-toxic, colored powder at stations throughout the course. It will be 3.1 miles with lots of color coming their way.

The Rainbow Run donation is $30 per person, $15 for children ages 4 to 12 and gree for children ages 3 and under.

Registration the day of the event will begin at 8 a.m., and all funds raised will benefit Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity and will help give families a safe, affordable and stable home.

Participants can also purchase a t-shirt at https://runsignup.com/Race/Store/NJ/Somerville/RaritanValleyHabitatYouthRainbowRun by April 20 at noon.

Anyone who cannot attend, but would like to support the students can sponsor an event or make a donation through the website, https://runsignup.com/habitatrainbowrun.

For 26 years, Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity has worked to build homes, communities and more in Somerset and Hunterdon counties. The organization has built 50 homes, and is currently building three homes in the Somerset section of Franklin Township.
