BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ _ So the public doesn't have to miss it, this year's Ridge High School art and photography exhibit at the Farmstead Arts has been placed online. The exhibit, "Word Play," will remain posted on the Farmstead Arts website through the end of June.
Ridge High School has held an art exhibit at the Farmstead each March for the past few years, said Taya Ros, director at the township-owned arts center. The exhibit showcases the art and photography of the talents of Ridge High School’s AP Studio Art and Photo III Students, she said.
Due to the art center's shutdown due to COVID19, the students were not able to hold a reception for the exhibit in April as planned. The Farmstead Arts center is located on property owned by the township at 450 King George Road in Basking Ridge.
There is also information on the exhibit on the Farmstead Arts Facebook page.
Following the Ridge exhibit, The Garden State Watercolor Society exhibit will begin in July, Ros said. The exhibit will hopefully be open to the public by that time she said. "If no, the exhibit will also be online," she said.
The Ridge exhibit was presented by the students of art teacher Wendell Jeffrey and photography teacher William Ortega.
