BASKING RIDGE, NJ -- Ishita Goel and Sindhu Nagarakanti are a pair of enterprising Ridge High School students who have made productive use of the school district's extending distance-learning period precipitated by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

The two juniors have launched the Coronacation Activities website (, which "aims to provide information and suggestions on fun and creative options, make the most of the time on hand, and learn something new in the process," according to the two girls.

Their website provides information about the Coronavirus in addition to suggestions for how to make the most of quarantine time inside. The site also gives specifics on how to stay safe and how to help out in your community.

The website is not only limited to Basking Ridge, but it also has information to help out the rest of the world as well. They have sections for everyone, as they have activities for all age groups to stay safe and occupy their time constructively during the indefinite period of quarantine.

"Our regular pastimes are not enough," Nagarakanti and Goel said. "Rather than wasting time on Tiktoks and the same three shows, here is an opportunity to explore more."

The site incorporates resources created by people they know and others in the Bernards Township community, including Anvita Gurumurty, Shaivi Manne, Roshni Nagarakanti and many others.

Nagarakanti and Goel have been reaching out beyond Basking Ridge in a quest to gather a more diverse array of information to better cope with the pandemic. Everything they share on their website is free of charge, as they are trying to make their website "easy to access and affordable for everyone."

"They really want to help the community, and this website is a great tool for people to learn and stay safe on their Coronacation," said Sandhya Nagarakanti, Sindhu's mom.
