BASKING RIDGE, NJ – The Ridge Marching Band will host the 10th annual Home Competition “Ridge Marching Madness” on Saturday, Oct. 19 on Lee Field at the high school. The William Annin Middle School Wind Ensemble will open the event with the National Anthem at 4:50 p.m.

Ridge High School will welcome 14 area bands to compete in a lineup of creative musical arrangements, movement and pageantry. The competition is a U.S. Bands-sanctioned “Gold Showcase” competition and is expected to include nearly 2,000 participants and spectators throughout the day and evening.

“We are looking forward to a fun evening and are proud to showcase the talents of high school students across the state who have invested significant time and effort into their performances,” said Ridge High School Band Association Home Competition event coordinator Kris Czerniach. “This is truly a community event and tradition that could not happen without the support of more than 100 volunteers, our parents, educators, administration, Bernards Township and sponsorships from our community businesses that help maintain the marching band and color guard as thriving activities for our high school students passionate about music and the arts.”
