BERNARDSVILLE, NJ - The sun was shining bright this morning for opening day of the Bernardsville Farmers' Market, celebrating its 25th year. Customers picked up their fresh locally grown produce and vegetables, as they strolled through the train station parking lot on Saturday.
Fresh-harvested local produce, vegetables, bread, spices, honey, cheese, prepared meals and flowers will be available at the Saturday Farmers' Market. The Bernardsville Fire Company will also be on hand each Saturday selling their 50/50 raffle for $5 per ticket or $50 per book, with drawing scheduled for November 3.
Vendors include Silver Lake, Hensler, Cooper's Hollow Farm, Griggstown Farms, WoodsEdgeFarm Honey, and Best in Bloom Bouquets. Other fine products are offered by Baker's Bounty (breads & baked goods), Black River Spice & Tea Company, Pickelicious, and Paolo's Kitchen, and more.
Additional vendors and community groups will rotate into the market weekly with new and different offerings.
The market is not only an opportunity for the public to shop for fresh-harvested local produce and other products, but also an opportunity to visit the wealth of shops and restaurants in beautiful downtown Bernardsville.
The Bernardsville Farmers' Market is held every Saturday from June 8 through November. Shopping hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the NJ Transit parking lot at the corners of Route 202 and Clairmont Road.
