BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ -- The Somerset County Department of Health reported a total of 3,822 coronavirus cases on Wednesday, an increase of 35 overnight.

There were 229 cases in Bernards Township on Wednesday, with four new cases reported overnight. There have been 382 deaths in Somerset County attributed to the coronavirus.

Statewide, there have been 150,399 cases, an increase of 1,386 overnight, with 10,747 deaths reported, according to the State Department of Health. Wednesday was the 15th consecutive day that the daily total of new COVID-19 cases in the state was less than 2,000.

The New Jersey Department of Health reported that 3,405 patients were hospitalized with confirmed or suspected coronavirus cases as of Tuesday night. There were 8,084 hospitalizations due to the coronavirus in New Jersey at its peak in April.
