BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Ridge High School seniors had their in-person formal graduation ceremony in three different sessions on Wednesday, July 15 on the school football field.
Splitting the ceremony was necessary in order to comply with Governor Phil Murphy’s executive order that limits outdoor public gatherings to 500 or fewer people.
The 457 graduates were assigned to a ceremony time based upon alphabetical order.
There were ceremonies at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Each graduate was limited to inviting two guests. All three ceremonies were live-streamed to provide those family members and friends not in attendance the opportunity to watch the proceedings.
