BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ -- Ridge High School science teacher Mary Centore, Ridge counselor Katherine Van Der Stad and music teacher Mark Fabio, who works at both Ridge and William Annin Middle School, had their retirement notices accepted by the Board of Education in October.
The board also received a retirement notice from Valerie Bohren, an instructional aide at Liberty Corner School, as of Jan. 31.
Resignations were received from Arielle Perez-Sestito, an instructional aide at William Annin Middle School, effective Oct, 23, and Michael Stanzione, a school aide at Liberty Corner School, effective Nov. 5.
William Rope was hired as a special education science teacher at Ridge High School for the school year, starting Oct. 15, and Hanina Osborn was named to teach English language arts at William Annin Middle School for the rest of the school year.
At the Oct 28 meeting, the board also accepted the resignation of Nazan Bulca as a school aide at Mount Prospect School, effective Nov. 1, and hired her as of Nov. 4 as an instructional aide for Liberty Corner School.
Hired were Allyson Bragg as an instructional aide at Mount Prospect School, effective Oct. 31; Jenifer Nicholson as a special services secretary at Oak Street School for the rest of the school year and Lynn LaMonte for the accountant/accounts payable business office, starting Dec. 1.
Child care leaves were okayed, all starting in the first week of 2020 and returning Sept. 1, for Julie Adam, a Grade 2 teacher at Mount Prospect School; Kristyne Fiorilli, a math teacher at Ridge High, and Kimberly Kazar, a Grade 3 teacher at Mount Prospect School.
