BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ Two school board incumbents, Karen Gray and Suzanne Skalski Schaefer, and newcomer Lauren Beckman posted strong leads in votes counted on Tuesday night, even though vote results posted on election night on the Somerset County are unofficial, with additional votes to be counted other than those cast at the ballot box.

Gray, the board’s current vice president and a member for six years, was top votegetter with 3,376 votes cast as of Tuesday night's results.

Votes for Schaefer, who is finishing her first full year on the board, were counted at 2,793; Beckman, a corporate engineer who has substituted in district schools, received 2,911 votes in the unofficial count.

Stephanus "Iwan" Juwana received 1,667 votes, and Ruchika Hira received 1,673 votes. Hira is an attorney who practices in the area of family law, and Juwana is a senior industry analyst for a risk management firm
