“This event is a great way for 4-H members to meet from all over and showcase their baking skills,” said Harry Brochinsky, 4-H Leader of the Master Chefs.  “I am very grateful to Blue Sheep Bake Shop for their offer to showcase the winning cupcake. It is a great thrill for the kids to be recognized this way.”

The rules of the event required that cupcakes had to be made from scratch, that the participants work in teams of 2 or 3, and that each group had to bake 6 cupcakes. Packaged frosting was permitted.

The objectives of the event were to promote self-confidence, to develop public presentation ability, to showcase baking and decorating ability, to work together as a team and to allow for self-expression in a safe supportive environment, as well as meet other 4-H members from around the state.
