BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ Responding to calls for help, the Bernards Township Board of Education approved the donation of medical suppliers on Monday night, March 30.

The items will come from school items in surplus.  The items include assorted surgical masks, N95 masks, other masks, safety goggles, exam gloves (small, medium and large), sterile alcohol wipes, PAWS antimicrobial towelettes and hair caps. 

The items will go to area health care institutions and the Somerset County Office of Emergency Management.

The total value of these items will not exceed $1,450, the motion said.

Monday's meeting was the school board's second remotely in the face of the spreading COVID-19 virus.
