BASKING RIDGE, NJ -- This week residents of Homestead Village can help the children and their parents talking walks in the neighborhood find bears -- Teddy Bears. The hunt started on March 22 and continues through March 28.

A post on the “Basking Ridge Helping Basking Ridge” Facebook page asks for residents to place a Teddy Bear in any window of their home so “kids and adults can enjoy ‘Bear Hunting’ by simply spotting all of the neighborhood bears on their walks or rides.”  There’s even a photo of a bear in a window on the post. Parking is available in the Cedar Hill parking lot according to the post, which has been shared by several groups in town.

For those who are worried, it's perfectly legal to be out for exercise purposes - just remember to maintain the appropriate social distance.

TAPinto doesn’t know who started this fun activity locally, but a quick search of the internet indicates kids are hunting bears all over the country. There are others who are enjoying finding rainbows in unexpected places.
