SOMERVILLE, NJ – The Somerset County Sheriff's Office is hosting the annual Toys for Tots collection drive at the Somerset County Administration Building at 20 Grove St. through Dec. 9.

“Let’s fill the children’s hearts with joy,” said Somerset County Sheriff Frank Provenzano. “Over the years, Somerset County residents and businesses have stepped up with gifts to bring happiness to the less fortunate during the holidays.”

Toys can be dropped off between 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Toys for Tots is an initiative of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. The nationwide program is now in its 70th year.

All toys must be new and unwrapped, suitable for boys and girls from newborn to 14 years old. No gift cards or gun replicas are accepted. Provenzano also reminds those who donate to be mindful of any choking hazard for infants and toddlers.
