BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ Although the Bernards Township Committee and the Board of Education have continued meeting remotely, most other township boards and commissions have put their meetings on hold since much of the community _ including the municipal building on Collyer Lane _ went into COVID-19 shutdown mode in March.
However, this Tuesday, the Bernards Township Planning Board is due to follow in the Township Committee's footsteps by setting up a "public" meeting using Zoom video conferencing.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21. The meeting agenda is posted online on the Bernards Township website.
The municipal building at 1 Collyer Lane will not be open for this meeting, which will have Planning Board participants logging in from remote locations.
However, the public will have several options for viewing the meeting live. As with the past two Township Committee meetings, viewers can access the live meeting on channel 15 on Optimum/Cablevision TV; on channel 35 on Verizon FIOS TV; and via being streamed live on YouTube. The link also will be available when the meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. by clicking on the “Watch the Meeting Live” icon on the Bernards Township homepage, according to the Planning Board agenda.
The agenda calls for comments from Planning Board members, approval of meeting minutes on March 3, and approval of a resolution for a preliminary and site plan and zoning variances for Verizon Wireless at 1 Verizon Way.
