BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ The Bernards Township Health Department, which also serves five other member towns, including Bernardsville, Long Hill, and Peapack-Gladstone, has scheduled a bone density screening and a pulmonary screening during September.
Bone density screening scheduled on Sept. 19 at Long Hill Library
The health department has scheduled a free bone density screening from 1 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, for adults age 35 and older to be conducted by Morristown Medical Center Community Health. An appointment is required; to set up an appointment, call 908-204-2520.
The screening is scheduled to be held at the Long Hill Library at 917 Valley Road in the Gillette section of Long Hill Township.
Pulmonary screening scheduled for Sept. 25 in Basking Ridge
A pulmonary screening for adults is scheduled to be conducted by Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health Respiratory Care & Sleep Services is from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at St. James Church, 184 S. Finley Ave. in Basking Ridge.
The screening includes individual pulmonary health education and sleep education and screening. The screening will address Instruction on respiratory medication delivery devices; Self-monitoring with peak flow meters & pulse oximetry; and managing triggers of asthma / COPD exacerbations.
