Dear Editor,

As we enter Earth Week and Earth Day on April 22, I hope that our Governor will consider opening our parks and open spaces in NJ.  Being outside in the environment is so crucial for our physical and mental health.  As many of us are “stuck at home”, being able to commune with/in nature is so important.  Fresh air and warm sun will do wonders for the health of New Jersey residents.  Social distancing in outdoor and open spaces can be accomplished fairly easily.  I hope we can be permitted to celebrate Earth Day in NJ’s parks now and going forward.
