BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ Next Tuesday's regularly scheduled Bernards Township Committee meeting as of now will remain an open public meeting, but the start time has been moved to 3 p.m. from the usual 8 p.m., township officials said on Thursday.
The time change came about as a result of NJ Gov. Murphy’s recommendation that no one be on the road after 8 p.m., said Bernards Township Mayor James Baldassare, Jr. The governor on Wednesday 'strongly' suggested that the state's residents not leave their homes between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
As of Thursday, the meeting was still planned as being open to the public, Baldassare said.
Township Clerk Rhonda Pisano said the Township Committee meeting will be livestreamed, as usual, and can be viewed online. The meeting will also be televised on Verizon FiOS TV Channel 35, and Cable TV Channel 15.
Meeting agenda due to be posted on Friday, March 20
The meeting agenda is scheduled be posted on the township website on Friday at noon, as usual, the township clerk added.
