GOP Political Analyst Bill Kristol Speaks at Rutgers

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University/New Brunswick will host national political analyst William Kristol for a public lecture titled “Our Country, the Constitution and Conservatism.” on Monday, Feb. 12 beginning at 7 p.m. at Trayes Hall, Douglass Student Center, 100 George St.

Kristol will answer audience questions at the conclusion of his remarks.

Kristol is the editor-at-large of The Weekly Standard, a conservative magazine and blog. He is a regular on ABC’s This Week and on ABC’s special events and election coverage, and appears frequently on other leading political commentary shows.

Before starting The Weekly Standard in 1995, Kristol led the Project for the Republican Future, where he helped shape the strategy that produced the 1994 Republican congressional victory. Prior to that, Kristol served as chief of staff to Vice President Dan Quayle during the first Bush Administration, and to Education Secretary William Bennett under President Reagan.

Before coming to Washington in 1985, Kristol was on the faculty of Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and the Department of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania. Kristol earned his doctorate in political science at Harvard University.

BERKELEY HEIGHTS—Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts (WIPA) will host a Summer Open House on Friday, June 1 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The free event is open to the public and will be held at the Performing Arts School located at 60 Locust Avenue in Berkeley Heights. The open house will feature demo classes centered around summer camp offerings and light refreshments will be served.
