BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ Another burglary of a township home reportedly took place on Dec. 22, township police reported.
The break-in reportedly occurred between 3:30 p.m.and 10:30 p.m. last Saturday at a home on Sentinel Drive, according to police.
As of this Wednesday, police said that it was not yet known what was taken. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective John Neiman at 908-204-3050.
Township police also released information about a theft of a jacket and a vehicle burglary at the Somerset County YMCA in the Dec. 26 police blotter. Police are still searching for whoever burglarized a vehicle earlier this month.
On Dec. 21, police said a Far Hills man was arrested for an alleged theft. Edwin Bednarczyk, 27, was charged for a theft of a jacket that previously had been reported on Dec. 6 at the YMCA on Mt. Airy Road, police said. He was processed and released pending a court appearance, police said.
However, no arrests have been made yet in a vehicle burglary at the YMCA that police said occurred sometimes between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 8, according to police. The apparent thief forced entry by breaking a window and stealing a wallet, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Brian Fallon at 908-204-3045.

On Dec. 17 at 10:29 pm, a Califon man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated, police said. Thomas Cavanaugh, 45, was stopped by Ofc. Zolnierowski for an alleged speeding violation, police said.. During the stop, police said it was determined that Cavanaugh allegedly was impaired and he was arrested. He was charged with DWI, speeding, and refusing to submit to a breath test, according to police. He was released pending a court appearance.
On Dec. 22 at 10:37 pm, a Bridgewater woman was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated, according to police. Elizabeth Roberts, 54, was stopped by Ofc. Moore on Liberty Corner Road, police said. During the stop, police said it was determined that Roberts was allegedly impaired. She was charged with DWI and failing to submit to a breath test, police said. Roberts was released pending a court appearance.
