BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ Bernards Township police announced a number of arrests for marijuana possession in August.

• On Aug. 10, Seon Daniel , 35, from Montclair, was arrested on a charge of possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, and also issued several motor vehicle summonses, police said. Daniels was arrested by Officer Nicholas Dante, charged, and released, according to township police.

• On Aug. 13, Damian Richardson, 18, from Allentown, Pa. was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia, police said. Officer Tim Polizzi stopped Richardson while he was allegedly traveling 90 m.p.h. in a 65 m.p.h. and reportedly found a clear plastic bag with marijuana and rolling papers inside the vehicle, according to police. Richardson was charged and released, according to township police.

• On Aug. 14, Louis Figueroa, 23, from Bethlehem, Pa. was arrested on a charge of possession of under 50 grams of marijuana under 50 grams, police said. Officer Anthony Severino observed Figueroa's vehicle allegedly parked in a handicapped parking space without a handicapped placard, according to police. A bag of marijuana allegedly was discovered under the seat, according to the police report. Figueroa was charged and released, police said.

• On Aug. 15, Jared Thomas, 27, from Irvington, was arrested on charges of possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said. Officer Nicholas Dante stopped a vehicle driven by Thomas for an alleged equipment violation, and reportedly discovered under 50 grams of marijuana, police said. Thomas was charged accordingly and released, according to police.
