BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ -- Police are investigating the theft of a late-model luxury car from a residential street in the township this week.

According to Bernards Township police, a 2018 grey Audi Q7 was stolen from a residence on Carlisle Road on Sunday evening, Nov. 17 between 6:50 p.m. and 8:16 p.m.

The vehicle, valued at approximately $54,000, was left in a driveway unlocked with the key fob inside, police said. The owner of the vehicle also left a wallet inside the vehicle with approximately $600 in cash, four American Express cards and two United credit cards.

The Audi was recovered on Thursday, unoccupied in Newark, where is had been involved in an accident.
