BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ -- The Somerset County Department of Health reported a total of 3,613 coronavirus cases in the county on Monday, an increase of 23 overnight.

There are 218 cases in Bernards Township, a decrease of two overnight.

A total of 330 deaths in Somerset County have been attributed to COVID-19. The number of new daily cases in the county has leveled off so far in May. On April 22-23, there was a two-day total of 279 new cases. In May, the average daily increase in the county has been 41 new cases through the first 11 days of the month.

Statewide, there is a total of 139,945 cases, an increase of 1,413 overnight, according to the State Department of Health. The three-day rolling average of new COVID-19 cases in New Jersey is under 1,497, which is the lowest rate since March.
