LIVINGSTON, NJ -- The Ridge boys basketball team scored the first 10 points of the game and went on to a 55-35 victory over Clifton in the consolation game of the Whitey Dukiet Tournament at Livingston High School on Saturday.

Ridge (2-2) expanded the lead to 16 with a 29-13 advantage at halftime. Ridge extended its lead to as many as 28 points, ending the third quarterv with a 49-24 lead. Jake Schapiro scored 19 points and handed out two assists for the Red Devils.

Jayden Hylton finished with 11 points and 16 rebounds and Nate Herrera had 10 points and two steals in the victory.  Easton Smith picked off seven rebounds to go with three assists and four points.

In the first round on Friday, Memorial of West New York defeated Ridge, 56-51. Herrera  had 16 points, three rebounds and two assists, Schapiro scored 13 points and Hylton collected 11 points and nine rebounds
