ANNANDALE, NJ -- The Ridge girls basketball team opened a 12-point lead after one quarter and went on to a 41-26 victory over North Hunterdon Tuesday night.

Taylor Smith scored 18 points and took down eight rebounds for Ridge (8-3), which led, 16-4, after one quarter. After North Hunterdon rallied in the second quarter, the Red Devils outscored the Lions, 13-5, in the third quarter to take a 33-20 lead.

Sophie Beneventine sank three 3-pointers and scored nine points and also grabbed eight rebounds for Ridge, which put just four players into the scoring column. Lauren Lusardi led Ridge in rebounding with nine caroms.
