BRIDGEWATER, NJ -- One goal is usually all that separates the Ridge and Bridgewater-Raritan girls soccer teams from each other in their matchups over the years.

That was the case again Thursday night, when Ridge defeated Bridgewater-Raritan, 2-1, in overtime. The game was the first in eight days for the Red Devils (7-5-1) and the second in nine days for the Panthers (7-5).

Zoe Mitzner and Caroline McEnroe had the goals for Ridge on assists by Payton Uhrig and Abby McCrea. Junior midfielder Mia Squicciarini scored in the first half for BRHS on an assist by senior back Christina Nici.

There is a distinct possibility the two teams could meet again in the Somerset County Tournament later this month.
