SOMERSET, NJ -- Jamie Zimmerman scored four goals to lead Ridge to a 6-1 ice hockey victory over Pope John Thursday at ProTec Ponds.

Zimmerman scored three goals in the second period and one in the third for Ridge (7-1-2). The Red Devils had taken a 1-0 lead on a goal by Ty Ebeling less than two minutes into the game, with assists from Colin Kirkwood and Grant Loges.

After Pope John tied the game later in the opening period, Zimmerman broke the deadlock with a goal midway through the second period with an assist from Matt Balzarotti. The Red Devils took advantage of a power play to extend their lead to 3-1 when Tommy Vitolo scored with helpers from Balzarotti and Nick DelGaizo.
