BRIDGEWATER, NJ -- The Ridge and Pingry ice hockey teams battled each other to a scoreless deadlock in the third period to preserve a 2-2 tie on Thursday afternoon.

Both teams came into the game with just one loss this season. Ridge (9-1-3) scored the first two goals of the game, both in the first period.

Grant Loges opened the scoring with a goal assisted by Sean Leach with 14:16 left in the first period. Nick DelGaizo's goal gave the Red Devils a 2-0 lead with an assist from Reese Judson.

Pingry (5-1-1) scored goals in the first and second periods for a 2-2 tie before the teams shut each other out the rest of the way. Marcus Fabiunke made 24 saves for Ridge.
