BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ With social distancing requirements during the era of the COVID-19 pandemic still in effect, the tonship Pool Commission meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, July 27, could end up outdoors.

The meeting is scheduled to be held in person at the Bernards Township Community Center at 289 S.Maple Ave., Basking Ridge. 

As per state orders, all meeting attendees must wear face coverings and remain six feet apart.

However, the capacity limit for the room is 12 individuals, according to the park commission. "If we exceed that limit the meeting may take place outdoors," according to information from Jennifer Gander, director of parks and recreation.

Following delays, the township's Pleasant Valley Pool opened on July 3, for members only, and with restrictions on total attendance.

The Pleasant Valley Pool complex is located at Pleasant Valley Park off Valley Road in Basking Ridge. Pool hours set earlier in July were: 

11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through August 15

11a.m. to 7 p.m. from August 16 through September 6
