ALTOONA, Pa. -- The Ridge 13U baseball team edged out Centre County, Pa., 4-3 on Sunday afternoon in its second game in the the Babe Ruth Middle-Atlantic Regional Tournament.

A seventh-inning bases-loaded walk scored Adam Meiner for the go-ahead run. Brendan Callanan was credited with the victory after he relieved starter Julian Kielb in the fourth inning. Ridge managed eight hits while holding its opponent to six hits.

Matt McCue got things started in the second inning with a sacrifice bunt advancing Connor Byrne to third. Byrne later scored on a single by Meiner. In the fourth inning, Tyler Helpinstill tied the game for Ridge with a single that scored Kielb. Steven Dresner also singled in the inning to keep the inning going.

Callanan held off Centre County to record the final three outs in the seventh.
 
Ridge is now 2-0 heading into Day 3, when the Red Devils will face the Southern New Jersey team from Atlantic County Shore area.
