ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- The girls' and boys' indoor track teams at Ridge High School each took first place in the Somerset County Relays last Friday at Lehigh University.

The Ridge girls team came in first with a team score of 72, with Montgomery finishing second with 45 points. The Red Devils' boys team had a team score of 54, with Hillsborough placing second with 40 points.

The Ridge girls won the sprint medley relay (4:23.64), the 4x400 relay (4:07.39) and the 4x800 relay (10:05.11). Ridge junior Jennifer Hodges won the high jump with a leap of 5-02. Senior Sarah Castronovo took the silver in the pole vault at 10-00.

Junior Alex Mark of Ridge won the triple jump with a jump of 31-06. Ridge's Francesca Miele took the silver in the triple jump (30-08.5) Junior Sonia Goya of Ridge came in second in the 1,600-meter race with a time of 5:57.64. Her teammate Isabella Trujillo took the bronze in the same event in 5:58.32.

The Ridge boys won the 4x400 (3:32.31), 4x800 (8:34.30) and distance medley relay (10:59.12). Junior Luke Roberts of Ridge took the gold medal in the long jump at 19-10.00. Junior Jasper Tan of Ridge was second in the high jump at 4-10.00. Sophomore Harry Hagerman of the Red Devils won the silver medal in the triple jump (37-11.5). Senior Alex Petric of Ridge was second in the pole vault at 13-06.
