BASKING RIDGE, NJ -- Chis Fabian, a senior at Ridge High School, has committed to swim at Bucknell University.  

Fabian lettered in all four years he swam at Ridge and served as a co-captain of the swim team this past season.  He had a record-setting senior year swimming for the Red Devils.

Fabian currently holds the following Ridge team records:  50 yard Freestyle with a time of 21.35 seconds; 100 yard Freestyle with a time of 46.72 seconds; 100 yard Backstroke with a time of 51.43  seconds and the 100 yard Butterfly with a time of 50.46 seconds.  He is also a member of the relay teams that hold team records in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:39.09 (from 2018); the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:28.99 and the 400 Free relay with a time of 3:14.46.

Fabian was the individual champion at the Somerset County Championships in the 200 yard Freestyle in both 2019 and 2020.  He placed fifth in the 200 Free at the 2020 NJ Meet of Champions with a time of 1:42.08 and eighth in the 100 Butterfly in a time of 51.54 seconds.  Chris was awarded “Athlete of the Month” recognition twice while at Ridge.  He was named to the Skyland All Conference First Team in each of the last two seasons.

Fabian is also a member of the Senior team at Berkeley Aquatic Club in New Providence, where he has been swimming competitively for 10 years.
